Overview
The interactive Media Wall at the first-floor galleries of the Tribal Museum, Rourkela presents an expansive digital showcase of the 13 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of Odisha. Spanning nearly 120 feet in length and 8 feet in height, the installation is among the largest immersive museum media walls of its kind in India, transforming an entire gallery frontage into a dynamic visual narrative of tribal life, culture and identity.
Designed and executed by Myth Interactives, the Media Wall combines large-scale visuals, motion graphics and curated cultural content to introduce visitors to the traditions, environments and lived experiences of Odisha’s PVTG communities. The installation has emerged as one of the museum’s most photographed and widely shared attractions, with several visitor reels and videos circulating on Instagram following the museum’s inauguration.
The Tribal Museum at Rourkela was inaugurated by Droupadi Murmu on 21 April 2026 as part of a group of major civic and cultural projects inaugurated during her visit to the steel city.
