Interactive Kiosks

Tribal Research and Cultural Institute, Agartala, Tripura
About the Project

Interactive kiosks at the Tripura State Tribal Museum encourage visitors to know more about the state and its large tribal population. The two kiosks provide glimpses into Textile Weaving and Bamboo Craft, the major cottage industries of the region.

Here, weaving as a form of artistic expression, traditional practice and an income generating activity is depicted through videos shot in the villages/workshops of the tribal artisans. Similarly the process of making various bamboo items of daily use captures the importance of bamboo as a primary natural for the communities of Tripura.

The kiosks are multilingual and also carry information regarding the 19 tribal communities of Tripura.
