About the Project

The Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups or PTG Gallery at the Museum of Tribal Arts and Artefacts, Bhubaneswar presents the visitor with dioramas depicting the life of the 13 PTG communities of Odisha.

Each diorama is equipped with an Android driven kiosks that enables visitors to undertake a virtual journey to the villages, hills and fields where these communities live and work. The kiosks invite visitors to explore the clothing, jewelry, occupations and religious beliefs of the community while also presenting insights into their changing lives, local legends, crafts, music and dance.

The kiosks offer visitors a choice of language between Odia, English and Hindi.
