Overview
As a means of taking the museum visitor to the villages and homes of Odisha’s tribal communities, Myth Interactives was entrusted with the exciting project of creating Immersive Experiences of Odisha’s Tribal Communities. Using 360-degree video the environment of several tribal communities of Odisha such as the Bonda, Ho, Omantaya, Dharua, Hill Kharia and Bhottada were documented to showcase the structure and location of their village, the local landscape, flora and fauna. These videos respond to the movements of the user, with the view changing based on the direction in which he/she is looking. They bring the Museum’s visitors digitally into the village, market and fields of these communities so that they can experience festivals, dances, crafts and daily activities such as collecting tubers, cleaning grain and picking fruit. The videos are accessible to visitors through VR headsets at the museum.
