About the Project

As a means of taking the museum visitor to the villages and homes of Odisha’s tribal communities, immersive experiences of 5 tribal communities have been created. Using 360-degree video the environment of tribal communities was documented to show the structure and location of the village, local landscape, flora and fauna. These are accessible to visitors through VR headsets at the museum.

Markers are provided within the tour that give concise information regarding material culture, social practices and community traditions via objects visible onscreen.
